What FLOOD-WISE was all about
FLOOD-WISE was an INTERREG IVC project in which water managers from various European countries exchanged experiences with flood risk management. The objective of FLOODWISE was to improve cross-border flood risk management in European river basins that cross national borders.
A few of its results (others can be found here)
Sharing, learning and cooperating. The results of a three year interaction in six cross-border river basins, working on sustainable flood risk assessment, mapping and management.
On 23 and 24 October 2012 all final results of the project were presented during the Final Conference.
During the work process of FLOOD-WISE good practices of cross-border flood risk management were identified, developed, assessed and transferred between river basins.
Confront players with issues that may arise if transboundary flood risks need to be managed!
Life after FLOOD-WISE
All good practices and relevant (sub)products of the FLOOD-WISE project are published in the WISE-RTD Web Portal.
To continue cooperation after the FLOOD-WISE project, the Task Force for Water Governance came to life.
